Having formed back before the Hoenn, Sinnoh, and Unova regions were discovered, their roots travel rather deep. However, their technology is quite up to date, perhaps bordering on a new breakthrough. The team as a whole is much less inconspicuous in comparison to the other teams that once preceded them. In fact, Team Nova members appear to be no different from other trainers or everyday people. The clothes they wear are casual clothes and their mannerisms are just as unique as any other person's. However, one thing that all Team Nova members share in common with another is a metal band around one of their wrists. These bands lock snugly, but comfortably, around the owner's wrist and gives off a weak, wireless signal. This is what allows them to gain access to their hideout nestled in a corner of Kanto that was once believed to be uninhabitable. These bracelets are virtually indestructible, and only come off when the appropriate counter-signal is sent to it. In addition to the easily hidden bracelets, Team Nova members carry a varying number of metal rings, roughly the size of dinner plates and aptly called 'Capture Rings' by the public folk. The average number a Nova member carries with them is about seven or eight. They're surprisingly complex and durable devices despite the fact that it is a disk with no center. Like the ones Lawrence III had once used to capture Lugia and the three birds, these rings act in a similar fashion by creating a force field specifically designed for containing legendary pokemon. They are activated by pressing a small button that blends in with the rest of the ring. It then becomes fully functional once it detects a signal from that team member's bracelet. They're thrown as any other disk would be thrown and lock on to the legendary pokemon via motion detection. It's unsure just how far apart two rings can be and still create a force field. Said force field can support tremendous amounts of weight, repel insane amounts of damage, and absorb the impact should a legendary pokemon throw itself against it. |
